Quality Education and Sustainable Growth: Group Combines Social Transformation with Student Base Expansion and Records 48.4% Profit Increase in the Second Quarter

Vitru Educação, the leader in digital education in Brazil, has just reached the historic milestone of 1 million students. This number reflects the company’s commitment to democratizing access to education, giving people the opportunity to transform their realities. Present throughout the entire Brazilian territory, the education group owns the brands UNIASSELVI, UniCesumar, and Rede Enem. In five years of activity in the sector, the group has 2,260 learning centers in 1,439 cities across the country, 23 campuses/presential units, more than 2,000 professors and tutors (online and on-site), 850 undergraduate, postgraduate, technical, and professional courses, in addition to 10,000 employees.

“We believe in the transformative power of education, and this milestone is the materialization of our purpose. Whether in person or online, the reason for our existence is to enable more and more people to have access to quality education. In this way, we generate a real impact on society, through citizens who are prepared to act in different fields, according to their areas of knowledge,” highlights William Matos, CEO of Vitru.

The group also stands out for its extension projects and educational practices that promote the application of knowledge, making UNIASSELVI one of the largest higher education institutions in Brazil and UniCesumar a reference in higher education, with 35 years of tradition and top scores from MEC. In addition, Vitru expands access to quality education with free content aimed at preparing students for the Enem, Encceja, and university entrance exams through Rede Enem.

The academic quality of Vitru’s institutions, combined with technological and pedagogical innovation, is proven by the delivery of qualified professionals to the job market upon graduation. An internal survey on employability shows that among the more than 540,000 students who graduated from Vitru institutions, 88% are currently employed. Furthermore, 40% of students from small and medium-sized towns served by the network of centers reported an increase in income after graduation.

These results highlight how technology, applied to promote quality, inclusion, and democratization of access, has been a fundamental tool to overcome regional challenges and address the country’s inequalities. With this approach, Vitru reaffirms its commitment to offering transformative and accessible education, capable of contributing both to the personal development of students and to social progress on a national scale.
