The initiative aims to empower a broad audience, helping to develop essential skills for today's market
Focusing on an innovative and democratic experience for students, Vitru Educação, a leader in digital education in Brazil and the parent company of UNIASSELVI and UniCesumar, is launching 15 completely free professional training courses in a groundbreaking partnership with YouTube. The new offering will be available on both institutions' channels starting February 24. Founded in 2005, YouTube is one of the largest video platforms in the world, with over 2 billion monthly users.
Each course is structured around three main themes, with a total workload of up to 12 hours. To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, students will have access to a digital book with supplementary content, enriching the educational practice. Upon completing all modules, students will need to take a final assessment, and passing it will allow them to receive a certificate of completion. All content will be hosted in the "courses" tab on the official channels of UNIASSELVI and UniCesumar on YouTube.
"We believe that education is the key to transforming lives and building a better future for Brazil. That's why we are thrilled to partner with Google and YouTube, which allows us to democratize access to knowledge and offer high-quality courses to millions of Brazilians. This initiative is part of our commitment to providing accessible and relevant education for the job market, empowering people to achieve their professional goals and contribute to the country's development," emphasizes Leandro Claro, Vice President of Market and Communication at Vitru Educação.
The new initiative ensures fast, flexible, and relevant learning, becoming a powerful tool for education and communication. Additionally, it accelerates the pursuit of knowledge through online formats on YouTube, a platform that directly impacts the learning process of 98% of its users, according to the Impact Report in Brazil.
"Through this partnership, Brazilians of all ages and educational levels can learn professional and practical skills to achieve their goals. We are committed to highlighting the impact of inclusion and the power of quality education in people's lives," says Amanda Ronconi, Strategic Partnerships Manager at YouTube.
For Tiago Stachon, Vice President of Continuing Education at Vitru, the partnership strengthens the strategy of expanding non-formal education, aligning with the transformations in the job market, empowering a broader and more diverse audience, and helping to develop essential skills for new professional demands.
"Many candidates are not prepared for the job market. We observe that upskilling and reskilling are new concepts that require this type of learning. Our offering of new professional training courses represents an innovative and accessible solution to this demand, reducing financial and logistical barriers and democratizing access to education," he highlights.
New Audience for the Courses
Highly connected, digitally native, and constantly seeking dynamic and interactive content, Generation Z is also a target audience for these new courses. With a video-centric approach that ensures easy access, the strategy aims to naturally engage young people in entering the job market.
"They value innovation and practical education. By offering courses on YouTube, we connect directly with the habits of this generation, which consumes a significant portion of its educational and entertainment content on digital platforms," Stachon points out.
